Cooper Bussmann, the industry leader in critical circuit protection, power management and electrical safety, announces the introduction of the Martek Abbott SL Series DC/DC converters. Featuring single output up to 500 Watts and the SLF500 EMI filter, the new SL500 is designed for airborne, shipboard, ground and other severe environment applications for proven reliability. 

The SL500 DC/DC converter is a standalone, 91 percent efficient COTS converter in a standard 2.4” x 4.6” x 0.52” full brick package with a power density of 87 W/in³.  Protection features include overvoltage, overcurrent, overtemperature and short circuit protection. 

Operating from -55⁰C to 100⁰C with no derating, the converter is parallelable for higher power requirements and synchronizable for noise sensitive systems. A 300KHz fixed switching frequency aids in filtering of EMI. The SLF500 EMI filter is third party qualified and meets Mil-Std-461F for conducted emissions. 

The SL Series also meets Mil-Std-704D, Mil-Std-810, Mil-Std-901D and Mil-Std-461F with the companion filter and is the latest addition to the Martek Military COTS product line of power converters.
